why would you buy an impala or malibu over a maxima or altima.

why would you buy a caddy over a benz/lexus.

thats just kidding yourself. If you want straight line fast, buy a badass vette, GTO, Cobra, etc..

But i'd be willing to bet even a late model 00'ish prelude could outhandle a vette.

im not trying to be an *** either...

now when it comes to caddy vs. Lexus most of the time i will take the Lexus but Caddys are good cars, well i guess it all depends on which models we are talking about....

and Yes i think that 350z's are pretty badass... i would drive one for sure, in fact, when i graduate im gonna buy either a 350z or a G35 for a DD...

it's sad really.
There are C5's that have well over 300k, ask Patman about it. Stock everything. And moving onto a durability argument from a handling one is off, you were saying that a Prelude out handles a Vette, you were proved wrong, then bring up a totally different point. Thats like saying, "My TA can cut through a field better than an H2" then get proved wrong and say "well it has less seats."

If you bother to read the link I posted, you'll notice that Chevorlet is ranked almost idneticle to Nissan. So uh, why not buy the Chevy? I'd much rather get the LS4 V8 Impala than whatever crap Nissan has to offer.

Well its obvious that you really like import cars over american..

nothing wrong with that.. Your intialed to your own opinion..

Remember.. Its not fact.. Your Opinion..

as for a prelude going 300k.. doubtful.. the body would be long done on that..
engines are good... but everything else.. no

Holden, IMO, is what we really need to come to the states.

FWIW, my parents decided to recently trade in their '98 Lexus ES300 for an '06 Caddy CTS.

The Lexus was a nice car. I'd be close minded and ignorant if I didn't give it that. However, the Caddy is just as nice and seems to ride just as well. Granted, I didn't have loads of seat time in either, but had taken each out for a few drives.

Just 2 weeks ago a stupid bitch was not paying attention (cell phone?) and smashed into the back of the Caddy at 35-40 MPH while my mom was sitting stopped at a light. She did $9000 worth of damage to it. What happened to my mom? Her glasses got knocked off, that was it.

I'm one of those "my country right or wrong" patriots. I have owned 5 BMW's, because I was stationed in Germany twice and also have German heritage, but will never buy a Japanese car. It's a matter of principle.

So, the guy who is quoted the quality surveys would be a better defender of American cars than I would. He is more fact-based than I am. I just don't even consider Japanese cars as a viable option when I go shopping. Kinda close-minded, but that's the way I am. Yeah, domestic makers have needed a kick in the *** about quality at times. They also need to get their union benefits under freakin' control if they are to remain competitive price-wise, but for the foreseeable future, I'm buying domestic.

What's a shame is that you're still so caught up in your own opinions that you refuse to see facts. On average, GM quality rankings are at or very near their rivals. There is very little difference these days. I posted a facts proving this, yet you continue to spout off opinions about domestics being MUCH below their asian rivals.

If you want to be blind to the facts, go ahead. It's your loss. Frankly I don't give a damn what car you drive.

Again, you refuse to look at my FACTS.

I guess it's better for you to live in a world of your own opinions. At least there, you're always right....

I can't agree to it because the FACTS don't support it. At least not these days.

And what the hell does education and business have to do with it? Now you're just getting into a deeper hole. If asian business is SO much better, why is all the money still in the US???????????????????

JD Power Quality ranking wise, the Nissans are ranked ON PAR with the Chevys. They are basically equal.

As for styling, that's 100% subjective, so how can we possibily agrue that? Personally, I hate the styling of the Nissans. I'll take the FWD V8 Impala/Monte ANY DAY over the asian counterparts.
