the bst thing to do is immediately strat the car after the engine bay is spray, that way the heat will help things dry quicker, or so ive been told?

I would change the plugs and wires.

Those wires cause problems disproportionate to their size.

dont be afraid, just dont use any pressure...i messed up by not running the engine while cleaning it...i let it sit over the weekend to drie which caused the problem (i think)

I assume you mis-spoke since cleaning your engine/bay while the engine is running is probably not a good idea. Starting your engine shortly after cleaning is is probably not a bad idea and could help dry things up a little faster.

I clean my engine/bay using a solution of Simple Green and water (50/50). I squirt it onto a slightly warm engine (making sure to wrap my air filters and fuse boxes in plastic), let is soak in for a minute and scrb anything that looks dirty using any variety of brushes and rags. I then rinse it down with a garden hose ensuring not to blast anything too hard. After that I drag out my leaf blower and dry off anything that looks wet. To finish it off, I spray down the engine bay with foaming tire shine and wipe it down after is soaks in for a few minutes.

I've used the above procedure on 5 different cars and I've never had a problem with anything.

Things I would not recommend:

- Using a pressure washer
- Spraying down a hot engine (parts tend to crack)
- Spraying water directly onto the alternator, fuse box or PCM

Ya i bet one of your coil pack has got water or moisture in them and not sending the correct amount of voltage to the plug causing your missfire.

I would never use high pressure to wash the engine bay. Ever.

There is no need to run the engine right afterward. I usually let it sit for a few hours, never caused a problem.

Check for a leak around your EGR, where it bolts to the intake. It happened to somebody on here before.
