Still haven't heard from the OP what he intends the ride for.
Absent that, the consensus seems to be: if you live life 1/4 mile at a time, go F-Bod. If this is a daily-driver & you don't want major (or expensive) mods, then GTO.
And yes - the GTO may look plainer, but I'd bet in stock form would attract less attention from the po-po than any F-Bod.
And personally, I get quite a few looks nowadays with mine - though it took a fair amount of $ to get it to look like mine does now. I've invested in mine - and looks just happened to be a part of it - but it's my DD (even in winter), and I don't plan on major trips down the 1/4 mile.
Bottom line - drive them both & make your choice.
