2V GT motors that can hold 1,000rwhp. Actually, they tend to let go
at 400rwhp.

I say cobra for sure. I love LOVE my TA but if I could afford an 03/04 I def. would buy one in a heart beat. IMHO I would look for a used viper. I've always been a fan of those...

You guys are the ones telling us about how Cobras are basically
Mach 1's and GT's. I'm waiting for someone with a clue to chime
in and post at least one thing that's accurate.
Again, I suspect that the 1st person that has run faster than 12's
will know.

unit....no **** dude you have 620rwhp. of course you stomp on LS1's and LS6's and LS2's and LS7's.....but I am still yet to see a Cobra STOCK beat a blown LS1
I've run an 11.8, but it wasnt my car

But again, I wasnt impressed for it having 390 HP. If you supercharge an LS1...a cobra has no chance...and thats basically what the cobra is....a supercharged GT with a 6-speed...
If I were you and you have the money for a cobra i would buy an SS and put a procharger on it or somethin
good luck tho, their both mean cars

Just an example here for ya

Even with that said i have looked at 03-04 cobras over and over again and with the price of them right now i would never buy one for 27,000 and upper amounts, i would much rather build something myself for 15,000. But not a lot of people have time to do stuff like that on there own. I would buy an ls1 before i bought an 03 cobra simply for the reason that i would gladly take the extra 15000 and put it into the ls1 than spend it on a stock or close to stock cobra for the same price. Just depends what you are looking for and if you like to do the work yourself, but back on point here cobra's are very special from the factory and have major potential.
To the op..... If you want a cobra go for it... personally if i was looking for a dd type car to buy in the upper 20 grand range..... I would be looking at a used vette which probly have the most potential out of anything with the weight advantage. All depends on what you want. Go drive an ls1 and a vette see what you like the best, you may find the cobra to be much better or you may not.......

im not a ford guy at all but u can make the 03-04 cobras fast as hell with a relatively tight budget. im not a ford guy at ALL BUT id have a 03 or 04 cobra... if its a 02 WS-6 its up to you but in my opinion the t/a's look better than the cobras but the cobras are faster stock do what u want...

Get whatever car you like best. Is that what it's all about? Both cars
will perform when you throw money at them.

stainless - thanks for explaining that a little but... i do know a lot of work goes into a cobra but i don't know as much to what extent. and i do know the potential of modding on a cobra and how easily they can make 500+ hp....
but like i said before...I also know the power and potential of a blown LS1 which is like $20000 if you get a nice camaro and a procharger....
to buy a bone stock NICE cobra like the one i was lookin at yesterday...it would be $26-28k

No problem bro, ya i agree i mean i love the look of the cobra's and the sound with a kb an off road x or h and an m55 catback is just sex (dont forget this is coming from an all chevy guy lol) but at the end of the day i agree 100 percent id grab an ls1 or a vette and build a beast if i was looking to do up a newer car....... To be honest i would probly pull this exact combo or close to it that this guy has http://procharger.com/gallery/showte...ket=2&idx=1209
To many if its not on pump gas its no fun on the street lol
Just be aware them cobras can be straight sick with a good driver

I watch the same cars stay up for sale for MONTHS at those prices. Cobra owners need to understand that their car is NOT the next Supra...Mustangs depreciate just like F-bodies and it's only a matter of time before the Cobras take a big hit in value. They just haven't had time to depreciate. Keep in mind that an '02 Trans Am that's stock with low mileage will cost you $17k, not $8k like some of you act like they will.

An SS, Firehawk, Cobra, and Corvette (especially Z06) should not be DD's....however, a T/A, WS6, Z28, or GT, I have nothing against them being beat to **** on the streets....they will never accrue value like the first group named. Those are the collectible garage cars.
but i'm out to dinner, peace guys
