I've seen over 20 '03 Cobras within the last year in the $17-19k range with 50-60,000 miles. The GT500 has more potential, but that won't factor in until dealers cut the markup bullshit.

05 GSXR 1XXX- Why not daily drive 'Vettes, Cobras, and F-bodies? They're cars. Are you going to be able to tell everyone at the retirement home someday that you had a badass ride but left it in the garage all the time? These cars aren't million dollar cars or something. Personally, I think people should drive and enjoy them rather than let them rot away in garages...

Now to my rant and rave on this matter. First of all BOTH cars are nice cars. As I was told before Mustangs/Cobras are muscle cars for chicks. But in all serriousness it probley wasnt meaning the 03/04 Cobra. Either car is worth buying just all about what you want to spend. I would go with the WS6 to me it looks a lot more aggressive

Agreed but those are pretty high miles compared to most 03-04 cobras ....... As far as the gt 500 yes they do have some pretty good potential....

Oh great! The Mustang guy that thinks he know everything

JUST KIDDING BRO! Just seems like someone always has to say this in any thread you post in if it's between a Cobra and a F-body, and I'm a little surprised it hasn't come up yet

Schultz...I see your somewhat new here (which we all were at one time) but don't worry...just one weekend of Units E-Pimpslap 101 and you'll get a nice education.

To the OP: It seems that you really want the car so go for it! I know I would if I could afford both, but the car I have now is the EXACT car that I've wanted since I was in high school and I just can't bring myself to sell it (yet)

But again, I wasnt impressed for it having 390 HP. If you supercharge an LS1...a cobra has no chance...and thats basically what the cobra is....a supercharged GT with a 6-speed...

If I were you and you have the money for a cobra i would buy an SS and put a procharger on it or somethin

good luck tho, their both mean cars

first off buy the cobra. my dad has a 03 sonic blue with magnaflow, pulley cai and a tune. he put 493 to the rear. next mod it a solid rear and some slicks. low 11's with that and maybe a total of 4k. look on ebay they are still going for a **** load of money. and my dads has only 9,000 miles in it..

those motors are built, they are nothing like a gt at all. doing some research b4 posting it

Cobra dude. There are some real low milage ones around for 25K and the book value is actually getting higher so you would have modding money. DO this, just go look at 3 Cobras and 3 other LS1's and see the difference in owner age/mentality. You wont find a trailer park ragged out 03-04 Cobra. LS1's are getting cheaper thus everyone is hacking them up, it very tough to find a nice one and VERY exspensive to find a good examlpe...$15K or more.

I mean unless you dont WANT 500-600rwhp as a DD??

With all this talk of spending mid-high 20 thousands range, why not a c5???
It would be more expensive initially to mod for power than a cobra, but it's in a totally different class for the same price. Handles like a dream, and it actually has more interior room than a Mustang. I can sit comfortably for hours. And a blown C5 will rape a stock blower cobra on the freeway. So as long as you don't live near Unit you'll be fine! Just more fuel for the fire.

Different class of car but yes, you are correct. I would buy a C5-C6 before an Fbody for obvious reasons.

I like how certain people try to tell Unit about an LS1 because he has a Cobra. They must not know he once has an LS1.

If I could afford it, I would by a Cobra. But Im not giving up My WS6
