Default Did you guys feel a difference with a ls6 intake????

Im about to purchase one and was just wondering if its a noticeable difference. SLP's website said a gain of 15RWHP, I was thinkin if i did a ported TB as well that would be a pretty big gain if true. Any thoughts??

No, I don't think you'll feel a difference but you will notice a difference if you have other mods to compliment it. You'll notice lower times @ the track.

LS6 intake and headers work really well together. You should see a huge difference with it. In addition to the easier breathing with the LS6, you'll also realize some additional power from the headers that you're not currently taking advantage of. Don't know the exact numbers, I'd be curious to see a before and after dyno. My guess would be 20-25 rwhp.

What year is your car? The later years came with the LS6 intake stock.

I put on the LS7 clutch and my car felt slower.

I put on the LS6 intake and my car felt better, almost stock.

The dyno showed I still made a gain in HP and Torque.

I did lid, intake and LT headers at the same time. Felt a difference, but if it was any less, I wouldn't have. So, no, I doubt you will.

The LS6 intake is a MUST DO mod if you ask me. The LS1 intake really robs your car of the air it needs to operate perfectly with the long tube headers!

It works so great with a ported TB and LT Headers. You'll notice a great gain!

Will I see more of a gain from the LS6 intake if I already have long tubes and a MS3?

I did LS6 Intake Manifold, Pacesetter LTs, TSP ORY all at the same time and felt BIG gains!

IMO... like stated above, LS6 Intake Manifold is a MUST DO mod.

I would say yes.. i don't have an LS6 intake, but reasoning would say LTs are letting it exhale much better, and that big ol' cam is trying its best to suck in air but its too damn restrictive. kinda like trying to breathe in a straw. I would say u will notice a bigger gain by letting all your parts breathe and work to their full potential

I noticed a little extra kick in 2nd gear. With the LS6 intake, SLP lid, ported TB and MAF, my times dropped from 13.8 to 13.2

LT's are next, then a cam. Breathe in, Breathe out. It's all about air.

***-meter means nothing. It might even feel slower if you slap on an ls6 and ported tb and don't tune it. What matters is if the car actually IS faster. Run it at the track before hand and then run it again afterwards.

I don't know if ***-meter means NOTHING, SOTP improvements are always nice, but I agree a tune will definitely help and is pretty much required at the point you're at.

It's likely the stock intake is limiting the potential of your other mods, a lot of people have noticed this in similar situations, and they were surprised by the gains from an intake alone. Make sure you get that tune though to realize full potential.
