Default Is this SS a Steal? Sounds like it....

Hey everyone. I'm shopping for an LS1 car. I would prefer a T/A, but an SS is cool too. Anyway, I've stumbled upon this. It's a 2000 SS Vert, 6speed(hurst), 1 owner, tan leather, tan top and has 50,000 miles. The guy is asking $12,200. It sounds like a steal. Should I jump on this? Here's a pic......

If everything appears in order I'd go for it. Convertible SS's aren't exactly common.

That is good. I just got mine for 12,000 in January. I'd go for it if everything checks out, it's real, and there are no major problems with the car.

Is that a serious question? Just spend an extra 75% more than you were looking to... lol wow

I've owned both corvettes and camaros. I've stuck with my 02 SS. As a matter of fact, I traded a vette FOR a camaro. I prefer SS to a vette anyday.

Wow clean looking SS! Id say see if you can knock a few dollars off the price just to see if he budges at all (Like say show up with a check for $11.5K or something along those lines) as money talks. If he is firm on the price though get it as that SS looks awesome!

That's definitely a fair price. See if he is willing to drop it a little bit of course, but it is not a rip off if its in the condition you say it is in.

As always when shopping for an SS, verify that it's a true SS before you buy it. Look for the WU8 code in the RPO's and if it has any SLP options it'll have the Y2Y code as well. Better to be safe than sorry. There were only 474 Verts made total in NBM in 00, thats not just SS's, thats total. And only 88 of those were SS's with 6spds, and only another 66 with autos.
