Default I crashed my Camaro SS *Pics*

I don't know what to do... The car was perfect and now I don't feel it will ever be right again. The engine runs fine and it looks like all thats busted is the quarter, the front bumper, the light and the wheel is bent. The car still starts and seems to run fine but the steering is messed up. It doesn't look like there is any other damage to the car. Am I looking at like some crazy number to have this repaired...

By the way I lost control of the car getting on the interstate while it was wet out. I was getting on then my car started spinning..

I went across four lanes and it felt like I came almost to a stop before I hit the rail but the I heard a crrrrasssh. If that dumb rail was not there I would have been fine.

no insurence?

you can find good parts used...get everything you need together.. then bring it to a body shop to be put together and painted. if fram isnt tweaked...install parts yourself... then take it to a suspension place to get it squared away..then to body shop to get painted...

What do I do if the frame is bent? I do have insurance by the way, full coverage.

I could claim insurance but I would have to pay 1k, then they would take care of the rest and my rates would go up.

How much would too much be for this damage? Every time something happens to one of my cars the car never works right again. Always drives messed up. I had the same type of damage to another car 4 years ago but it was a transaxle and it cost 8k to be repaired.

Since its your fault and your rates wil go up... But they should fix the car but look at it like this... I had the same thing happen to me and i baught the parts and didnt mysef for the 1/4 of the cost... SS Hood and Bumper and all the supports and everything i needed for $1,100.. A body shop wanted $4,700

I know it looks bad but if its only what you tell us then it really isnt that bad. You will be able to find the parts you need on here easy. If you can put it back together yourself take, it somewhere to get sprayed you'll save a ton of money. If you do that get the bumper and the fender sprayed and then put it on your car, that way they can get all the edges painted and you save your car from all the dust and all that crap from being in the bodyshop.

i've had a few body shop experiences... for that kind of damage, and if you use a GOOD body shop, that's about a 3k-4k fix, depending on if you have any frame damage since you mentioned your steering is off...

by the way... if you haven't already contacted your insurance company... say you hit an animal that ran across the road... don't tell them you lost control in the rain... that way it falls under Comprehensive... meaning it's not your fault so your rates won't go up...

Thankfully, traction control saved me in the rain once and I saved myself one other time in the rain.
Sorry to see your super sport banged up like that.

If it got into the quarter panel as you mentioned, then that's probably what will cost you the most to have repaired.

Your pic shows the front fender, and you could replace the fender, nose, headlight & bent wheel yourself. If if screwed up the steering, then you may want to have a shop correct that for you.
