As long as the car runs fine and the oil pressure goes up with the RPM's you're ok.

mine was always at 40 for the longest time and would drop a hell of a good bit just riding or idling, then putting my LS6 manifold on this weekend we broke my oil pressure sending switch and when i got the new one it doesn't drop durring idle or constent driving past 40 and flys up as i accelerate

After driving around on a 95 degree day, then sitting at idle for a bit while in gear (like heavy traffic), that's how mine would look.

I wouldn't worry. Unless it was a drastic change from where it used to be.

Mine is wierd..
It idles at around 50-60, and when I hit it, it drops to about 20..probably cause the Sending Unit is the last thing that the Oil hits when it travels through the Engine..
If I am in neutral and rev it up, it goes up..

wasn't to bad, only about a full hours job. just a pia to get to the last 4 bolts on the manifold, especially when you drop the 8mm and i happens to land inside the fork of the LT headers and you have no magnet lol.. and you have to use a wrench because the other 8mm is in the engine bay somewhere of the camaro parked next to me

Your pressure is fine. Its like that because the idle speed of a A4 is low ~500 rpm. Mine always looked like that before the cam.

Hot, mine always idles a bit over 40 psi, about 42-43, 850 idle. Cruising at 2k it's about 58 psi. Stock LS6 oil pump.

The gauges aren't that accurate anyhow, just make sure your oil pressure doesn't start to decline significantly from what it was before, which would indicate a problem.
