Default Noise restrictions?

Just curious if anyone has any information regarding noise restrictions for exhaust, I just put in some LT and ORY with a cutout on the SS and its loud as hell, I like it, but everyone around me hates it im sure. I live in Jacksonville FL, I was pulled over last week for speeding but the sheriff didnt say anything about my exhaust being to loud. Thanks for the help guys.

I think it depends on wether the cop is a jerk or not. My buddy on here 2000hawk was pulled over in a gas station in Miami for starting his car "near" a cop. He's cammed with true duals though.... and I don't think he had mufflers at the time.

I dont really care about disturbing the peace, I like to wake up whole neighborhoods late at night. If its illegal though, I will definitly be more cautious about getting on it. Does Florida have any laws regarding this?

Well I can not speak for your state but here in NY there is an actual decibal limit which must be measured to issue a ticket. Now obviously most officers could care less as long as you aren't ripping on your car through residential areas.

a couple of COP buddies of mine told me just to be careful with it and not to show off around other COPS! I have 13/4 long tubes with a custom 3" X pipe with bullets that are dumped and it is tremendously loud especially when you give it some gas! I love the race car sound but I know my neighbors probably hate me so thats why I try and creep around the "hood" but that also hard to do with a 4000 stall!

Most places have a decibal limit as far as i know and im pretty sure anywhere can write a ticket for no muffler.

I am here in orlando and been pulled over a ton of times but never for the sound of my exhaust. I dont even have to close the cutout when I see one anymore but am glad mine is electronic. Plus I have seen hundreds of loud *** harleys that never get pulled over for noise and they are three times as loud as my bird.
