What would you do? Heads/Cam or procharger?
Im really undecided on this. Its a ways off but next tax season I want more powa. If I wanted I could prob go cam only now but when the time comes for heads or charger I dont want to waste my money on a cam that may not work well with a charger. I really like the "fairly" easy installation of the procharger and lack of cutting or grinding required for install. Plus on stock internals 400whp should be easy. what are your opinions?

sounds like a decent plan um why dont u get the procharger first then when u have money get blower cams and so forth together with some decent heads
so what kind of procharger u lookin to get

ok yah i know what ur talking about my brothers cobra has a p1sc but then ran 18lbs of boost on the f1a
um u realize that u might have some belt slipping problems right?
anyways yah u could run that boost on the stock motor
pretty much its up to u to choose what u want first. won't really matter in the final result

Man I would say do a H/C combo. I think that you are going to see amazing gains with that kinda combo. Do some good tuning and your looking about the same power as the first stage Pro Charger. Plus you are still NA with alot of room to go. I would say procharge it in a few years or something, but go heads and cam. Didnt see your list of mods, but if you throw on a new FAST intake and TB along with some headers, you are going to have a stong car.

To do a blower properly you will have to add a lot more than just the blower. There is a small think called a bottom end and fuel. Now granted you can install a supercharger on just about any thing and it will work. However it is least likely to last very long with out the supporting modifications. So I voted for the heads and cam Until such time that you can build the bottom end. Good luck

As far as I can tell a reliable 400whp procharged setup shouldnt be a prob for the bottom end. Plus the fact I could keep the stock rev limiters in place. Ug a lil lumpy cam or blower whine.... that is the question. And as far as I know the procharger kits come with everything to run lower hp's reliably, Minus a bottom end, including fuel stuff.

these guys sold me a D1sc with the upgraded fuel and a tune, for the same price as many of there competitors tuner kit w/o the fuel or tune. cant beat that. and for reliable. at 400 rwhp a blower will put less stress on the motor then a h/c combo since the added power is there only when you ask for it @ wot
well except for the added stress it takes to spin the blower. i did the h/c/i/e first and wished i had bought the blower first since i spent more then could have purchased a D1 for. but it doesn't matter now since i have both.

these two guys in the staging lane, night ghost and kbrak, dont know what the hell they are talking about! the stock bottom end on these ls1s has been known to handle 700 horse power hardly is 400 to much. actually the cam and header combo would be worst on the internal than the blower because these motors will hold the power but not hold the rpms. the revs r what kill the ls1, spinning over the stock rev limit isnt going to be liked by ur motor especially when u know ur going to do it a lot to get the full potential out of the cam.
BUT, do whatever u want its ur car, maybe u should ride in a car that has both combos. id go with the heads and cam but thats just me, i like hardcore lump. lol
