what rpm do you cruise at??

GM changed the shape of the piston rings in early 2001 on the LS1. They did it because many LS1 owners were complaining about high oil consumption. They basicly found that people were cruiseing in higher gears then there design and test. These people were runing at these higher RPM's to be race ready, they liked the sound, or any number of reasons.
So cruising at higher RPM's has been found to:
1. Not hurt your engine too much. (good news)
2. Cause higher oil consumption (pre May 2001 engines)
3. Lower fuel economy.
This all being said I cruise at the lowest fessible RPM. I down shift when I want some real acceleration. I down shift to:
1st if below 35
2nd if below 70
3rd if below 95
I don't think I have ever down shifted into 4th. Maybe someday I'll get the chance, it sounds like fun!
edit : I just remembered I did a few downshifts from cruisin at 100-110 to 4th. (my bad)
