what do you think an automatic 99 z28 with 80,000 miles is worth? kbb excellent is $7,790, good is $7,220. i haven't seen it in person yet but the pictures look nice. is $7500 a good price for it or should i try to get it cheaper?

what is done to it. if it is stock I would tell them hey I will give you 7000 and see where it goes from there. or even less. I have seen cars go for 5500. but they had higher mileage or had something wrong with them.

I got a 99' Z28 and if I had to sell mine it would probably fetch that much. Make sure you know what you are buying. Get your mechanic to look at it, make sure it has no leaks, doesn't smoke on startup, and has been kept up maintenance-wise. Only you can decide, but don't rule out the carfax report as well (even though they are controversial). Good luck.

dont sound like a bad buy...id offer him 7k....but also a major thing to look for is the tranny...if its an a4 make sure it doesnt hit rev limiter before it shifts and take it up high enough to see how the 2-3 shift is....usually the first sign that the tranny is going bad is the 2-3 shift

If thats all they are going for these days I might as well never sell mine. I agree with thislswon, offer 7k and if they don't take it and you pay a bit more, then you are still getting a good deal as long as the car is in good shape.

To the op goodluck with the car if you buy it, they're a blast to drive and still get lots of looks and compliments.
