Steady 65 mph, windows closed, air not on, 245/50 16 street tires pumped up to 40 psi front, 36 psi rear (NOT "waiting for a street race" ET Streets with 22 psi in them!!), light, no options car (yes, I know this does not mean much at steady state speeds), and VERY minimal mods (NO; cam, heads, injectors, etc. work done), and a good, close to zero toe wheel alignment. It IS possible, just NOT like most on here have (or are willing to have) their f bodies set up.

You sure you have 197,000 on your stock clutch? Are you the first owner?

I plan on buying a 69' Camaro either running or not and building it. So I'm going to end up buying a DD anyways, lol.

I hear a lot of things people say about 1st gen's but it's something I really want to build. Plus, it's hand on experience with cars

Mine is a daily driver. I ran the car with stock with only lid, gears, suspension and ORY and Borlamouth exhaust for 3 years. Drove on the winter 2 out of those years. No problems at all. The car has a just over 50,000 miles now about 5,000 on the cam and headers + 3" ORY and no problems except that the clutch went due to power. I'm back to daily driving it due to some jerk stealing my junker (not that I mind driving this all the time ).

'Nother DD here. 70 miles a day to and from work. Having a 'beater' would be just plain boring to me.

DD here for four years and LT1 before that for a couple. The only reason I would consider something else for a daily is snow & ice. But it doesn't do that enough here in southern Kansas to make it worth insuring and maintaining some POS just for that. I look at it this way: why drive some piece of garbage every day when you have a car sitting there that you love to drive? I love driving mine every chance I get.

My fbody is a DD. Well, I call it a DD but I drive it weekends and a couple times during the week. I usually don't drive anywhere, too busy with classes and on-campus work and such. Even though it is only a V6 A4 I still enjoy driving it

I'm new to the Camaro, but I wouldn't choose it over my Taurus and Grand Prixs as a daily driver. The Camaro is fun to drive but it's just not as good at being a car as the dedicated grocery getters.

I would. I came from a taurus to my Camaro. Not regretting it the slightest bit
