I was taking a steeped long sweeping turn and my oil change light came on and then it went off. It shut off after 10-15 seconds of the roadway leveled out. The oil psi was rock steady.
Can anyone clue me in on what happened?

theres an oil life indicator i believe it is set to go on every 6000 miles. just for people that dont pay attention to there oil changes. refer to your owners manual on how to shut it off. As for it coming on and off from the banked turn theres a low oil sensor in your oil pan im guessing that the oil went below there from the turn causing it to trip the light.

Well the light goes on for about 20 seconds when I start the car now. I change my oil religiously at 3000 miles. It has been about 1500 miles since last oil change. Could it be indicating to change the oil because of old oil?
The car does sit in the garage a lot.

To reset the light,
Turn the key on, but don't start the car
Next push the OD reset and hold for like 13 sec. It should flash then goes off.
The light does not come on based on miles, I had to be corrected on this also. It's in the manual.
Have not heard of the light flashing as much as yours. Maybe it's telling you time to change. My light has never come on, but I change my oil between 2-3000, when ever I get bored.

Yeah it was wierd that it would go off on a turn. Perhaps it was just a coincidence.
I guess since the oil change light doesn't go off by mileage, it must measure something in the oil to indicate it needs changing.
Logical thing to do is to change the oil and reset the light.
Just thought I would put my problem out there to see if there was anyone else who experienced it.
Thanks guys
