I have a question about the interior room in a c5 vette. I am a pretty big guy but i fit fine and very comfortable in my 1995 Z28. I will be in the market for a c5 pretty soon. Does anyone have both cars to compare? Will i fit in a c5 if i am comfortable in my Z28? The seats look pretty narrow in the pictures i have seen as well as the foot wells(i wear a size 13 shoe). Also, is it alot harder to enter/exit the c5?

Um....Hard to say, how tall and heavy are you? I'm 5'11 ~150lbs. In the Camaro it felt like a cavern, but that might be because I'm used to my Corvette now, it almost fits me perfect, but still feels like it could accommodate a much bigger driver.
Foot room isn't really an issue, thanks to the layout of the drivetrain.

Dan, I own both of these cars.. The only thing is that the corvette sits quite lower in stock form, and the f-body seems to have slightly more knee room.. Both have more than enough room to accomodate a person up to at least 6'3.

I'm 6'3" and 320 and I fit in a 2002 Vette just fine. They actually have alot more room than what it looks like. Everybody is different so go find one to drive so you can make sure you are comfortable in it.

I am 6 foot 6, 215, and pretty strong, and I fit fine in a 2004 Z06, but I am willing to put up with a little less space for what that car has to offer. But I wouldn't hesitate to buy it based on fitting. I was fine.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I'm 6'4 and about 250 and I'm not comfortable in a Vette. Maybe if it was an auto and I was only racing in a straight line I'd be good. I can't see myself turning and moving my hands around the wheel in a Vette. I can only do that in a Camaro with the steering wheel all the way up and then it's a little loose.

i'm 6'3" 240lbs.
the camaro fits me perfect. the vette was great too, except I could not lean the seat back as far as I like and I you lose some leg room. Nothing too bad though to prevent me from buying one.

I think it should still be comfortable, but your not going to have as much room as your Camaro though. There is not a lot of knee room for taller guys (like myself)... But it was still very comfortable.
To answer your question though.. No, you would not have as much room in a Corvette as you would in a Camaro. The seats were very comfortable, but the only problem I saw with the vettes interiors was knee/leg room.. But like I said, It was still comfortable and wasnt bad at all.
My advise to you is, Go sit in one and decide if you think its comfortable. If all else, and you decide its too uncomfortable, you could mod your Z28 or buy a LS1 F-Body
.
Good luck and I hope everything works out for you

I already have a 1995 Z28 that i fit really good in. The only thing i am worried about in the vette is i cant recline the seat like i do in the camaro, that makes a big difference.

I have both vehicles, but I'm also short, so I can't help you in the height department. However, I'm pretty wide (5'7" 205lbs power-lifter) and the Z06 does feel a little tight. A guy your size should really get some serious seat time before committing to a C5. JMO...

Dan I am the same size as you #wise, I have a 98 T/A and i drive my friends ZO6 and there is room. My right leg rubs the console and there is less leg room but you should be fine. I dont know about long trips though, but around town its pretty good. I like the seats in the vette better but you cant recline them as far back, but it feels like the vette wraps around you!
