Um, i hope that crap is just on the side of the head, not covering a crack or something. Looks like the corner of the head got dropped on the floor or something too....pass on it.

Actually that was part of the drop test that Lamar Walden Automotive does to every expensive part you buy. They figure if it won't take multiple drops, being used as a work service and left to the elements for weeks it might not be up to their ultra-high standards. More to come.

That shop has had a good reputation for a long time. Nobody has ever pulled their asses out in the light of day so people can see the kind of work they do when they don't know what the Hell they are doing and don't care. Wait until you see a few more pictures and hear the horror stories.

I just wish somebody had posted something like this before they got me.

PDF of lawsuit to follow soon.

LOL, any shop that throws your new heads against the floor & says it's a standard drop test should be outta business. Your not even supposed to have any small gouges in the deck of the heads much less a entire corner smashed up.

You definetly got screwed & if they have been in business for a while I'm sure plenty of others have too. I can honestly say I have never seen a head in that kinda condition that wasn't basically a paper weight.

And if it was me wanting a high dollar build, I'd got to a professional shop like Wheel to Wheel, not some no name shop.

Brad, My attorney asked me to delete that last thread until the complaint was filed in court. Once that happens it is public knowledge. I may post it in some magazines!! They definitely will have a chance to take note of it.

LWA has fucked over the wrong psycho!

All you have to do is put it on the passenger side. Out of sight, out of mind

I have never seen anything like that, a shitload of epoxy trowled on the side of the head most likely covering a big *** crack.

It's a boat anchor now. Man, that sucks, I feel for you bro.

Get a flatbed, get your car, collect all your stuff and get the hell out of there. If they pull that kind of ****, then I wouldn't put it past them to use your car for 100 yard target practice. You don't need a bullet ridden car and a very expensive collection of paper weights and boat anchors.

I'm sure your attorney went after them under some sort of consumer fraud count. If so they'll file a claim with their insurance and they'll be denied coverage for the fraud count (been there and done that being a plaintiff, defendants denied coverage). If you have the resources and the patience you could really **** that place up. Chances are they'll make you whole and settle it unless they're incredibly stupid. Or you could drag it out, not take a settlement and have some fun Let us know when the pleading is actually filed so we can see it!!

Unbelievable!!

Actually there is no crack in the head, the epoxy was used to reinstall a blown freeze plug. Resulted in near fire and of course resulted in another trip back to the shop via the hook!! The half-***-ed repair was done out of site on the back of the passenger side head. Summit racing has inspected both heads and structurally there is nothing wrong with them. They did, however, find some wrong parts that would have eventually destroyed the heads and maybe more. Just more poor quality and/or ignorance.
The lawsuit has been filed. The perp will pay in full.
