vibrating poly tranny mount???

Default vibrating poly tranny mount???

hey watsup guys jus got in my new tranny mount and its (its a prothane poly mount) vibrating when i only get on the throttle! i dont mind the noise its ok but is this normal and will other things get affected by it? lik form vibration thanks

its not the mount vibrating...

the poly mount lifts up the trans a lil bit and it is your trans vibrating against your floorpans. I used to have it, but I shaved off a lil bit of my mount so it didn't lift the trans up so high.

o and the vibration is only when i give it throttle lik im trying to gain speed, thats the only time it will vibrate al little bit, but it doesent bother me, but i jus really love the noise in the cabin with the windows closed, but i jus wanna mak sure i will be fine and not mess notin up dude but thanks

the vibrations will NOT damage anything. it may however cause peices of the dash and interior to rattle in the future.

i had a poly mount in my car for about a year and a half and nothing else rattled/vibrated in the car.

as for the tranny hitting floor...mine didnt and how could shaving the mount down help any...removing material from the mount would bring the tranny closer to the floor.

you have nothing to worry about other than getting more poly components to make the car feel "tighter".

thanks man that makes me feel better, but the noise is amazing it sounds as if my intake is right under my seat
