My Z is getting old...
I can still remember the day I bought it with 103,843... Oh wait I'm still paying for it These cars are rock solid no one can tell me otherwise! I'm beat the snot out of this thing and it keeps going! I'm on my 4th or 5th set of tires in around the 37K miles I've put on this thing and the only thing I've replaced is the fuel pump!

Oh yeah? I bought my civic maybe a half year ago with no oil or coolant in it and female owned. I did the maintenace, refilled the fluids and Im consistently pulling over 30mpg @ 186,000 miles. Ha Take that! And the suspension still feels new...
Well this brings us to a deep question. Whats worse? A female owned car that was not maintained but also not beat on. Or a beat on car that was well maintained?

I abuse my car quite a bit, but I'm always on top of maintenance. Also my abuse is still careful of not abusing the critical weak points.
I had my clutch slipping within a year of getting it though... damn stock LS1 + non drill mod...
Since getting it the only issues I've had are common ones
rear pinion seal leak
clutch
fog light bulbs
a few exterior lights going
tires (who DOESN'T eat up tires with these cars lol)
passenger window motor (argggggghhh)
door speaker
radio cd player
rear transmission seal leak
tensioner pulley squeel (easy fix, wish I did it sooner)

I'd prefer a well maintaind car that was beat on.
But that's essentially what I have now.
I bought the car new and Street Raced it for around 5 yrs so it took some good abuse. Warranty work done inside the first 50K included 1 headlight motor a broken front shock, A/C Compressor and the Fuel pump assembly. I've always kept up on regular maintenance Oil, Trans, Coolant etc... So far I've only replaced the front Brake pads cause of a seized slide pin Drivers Window motor and the water pump failed around 88K. Car curently has 118K and it still has the original Clutch though it has seen better days.
Car has been Rock solid and never leaves me stranded, I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere any time.
