The "useless" cup holder... what do you guys do with it?
#83
I forget about my flip out cup-holder, the only time it's been open since I've owned the car was when my wife opened it to show me that it was there, lol. I have an M6 so I keep nothing in the center console cupholder but loose change. If/when I have a drink in the car, it sits in the cupholder at the back of my center console.

Hey guys, was reading in another thread and got to thinking... what do you guys do with yours? I've been thinking of a way I could do an easy mod to get it to stay open when it's flipped out so I could actually use it cause it just wants to slide back in. Anyways, wanted to know what some of you guys do with yours if anything...
The flip out one I think works great on the rare occasions that I have a drink in my car. It's the cup holder I wished the car came with for two years until I realized t was there last year.

LOl, I thought I was the only one who took a good couple months of owning the car before I found the cup holder that flipped out. I use mine constantly! But I keep drinks with lids in it only.
The one by the stick (M6) is a penny holder.

i used to use the flip out one for my ipod, but i have a smaller ipod now and can't find a similar cup holder mount
the one behind the shifter is for cell phone, change, gum, etc.
the cupholders behind the console are f'n useless as well.... my gf left her coffee mug back there once and i didn't know it.
I dropped her off and the first corner i turned, the ******* mug flew out into the back seat and coffee pooled there. As soon as I saw that I ******* threw her coffee mug out the window and pulled into a conv. store to clean it out.
She actually had the nerve to get mad that I threw her expensive mug out the window. My response to that did not go well for her haha

The flip out cupholder is awesome... It holds my water bottle or whatever perfectly, and since I drive with my hand on the shifter (A4) , it doesn't get in my way.
The cupholder in the console holds my cell phone, car keys, and a few bridge tokens.
