I love the center console I put in mine. Don't much care for the flip out one, mainly because I freak out when any drinks aren't within my reach. I just put my phone in the pocket in front of the shifter

like most... my cell phone goes into the center cup holder or my sirius radio unit cause i have no idea where to put it. The pull out one only ever holds a wendys large soda maybe once a month lol.

And i owned the car for a year untill i realized the pull out cup holder even existed hahahaha

I put my cell in the bucket in front of the shifter (I think TA's have the traction control switch there, but my Camaro has a bucket), I have an M6, but I put a soda can in the one behind the shifter all the time...I'm 6' tall and it isn't in my way...if I was racing it would be, but just driving it isn't at all, my shifter is way lower than the stock one too...I've never even opened the flip out one except for when I'm cleaning the car.

The james bond cup holder is for drinks. The one in front of the shifter is for the phone, of course.

With an LT1 you can get away with placing things in those kind of places. In my 427 LS1 you find out real quick nothing can be left where the inertia of a WOT blast can launch it clear into the T-top well.
(I am serious)

from what I hear, I'm glad I don't have that cubby hole in my console in front of my shifter. What's down there...my top button and a block of plate I think?

Come on, you all know (m6 guys) that you've tred to shift with a large BK coke, or Mc Donalds coke in the consol holder.

Oh sure, it fits fine in the flip out, but step on the gas too hard, or go around a turn too fast. Go ahead, try it. We all know what the outcome will be. then you end up curing BK, yourself and your car while dieing of thirst eating your bigmack.

We all know that awkward shift, the one where your elbow is rubbing up against the passenger seat while you hit second trying not to knock the drink over! Your whole body leaning to the right. It's actually a pretty stressful ride home. But there's really no other way to do it. You can't keep it between your legs unless you're one of those tall bastards, and it's certianly not gonna stay up by itself in the passenger set. That cup holder can be quite useful!

My cell phone gets put in the dash cuby hole. It fits perfect. The flip out really never gets used. Cap drinks I just put in the passenger seat, or make the passenger hold it. Floor, etc. The only thing usually in my consol holder is my remote for the stereo.

drink in the pull out one sometimes, center console one holds misc things from time to time like change or my watch.

I keep my phone in the front hole beside the lighter.

I like the extra lighter for my ipod charger/holder unit. it's perfect for it.
