Hey guys, was reading in another thread and got to thinking... what do you guys do with yours? I've been thinking of a way I could do an easy mod to get it to stay open when it's flipped out so I could actually use it cause it just wants to slide back in. Anyways, wanted to know what some of you guys do with yours if anything...

are you talking about the one that flips out or the one infront of the center console? For the flip one, I usually just have it closed...the one in the center console usually has random crap in it

flip out one stays shut or holds a small gatorade bottle and or protien shake and thats about it. The real "useless" one holds my cell phone and other misc. items.

that's right...you have an automatic...you have no need for your arm to be over the center consol.

yep, M6 here....the one behind the shifter is the useless one, and the flip-out one is my drink-holder.

i use the "useless" one to hold my cell phone

I keep it closed, or I put a drink in it. It stays open and doesn't slid in. I find it quite useful!

my cell phone fits perfectly into the one on the center console, it can lay across the recessed ring in the cupholder and lay down flat to cover it up

are you talking about the one behind the shifter, or the flip-out one? i've had other drinks besides soda cans in the flip-out one, too....fountain drinks & my Starbucks thermos cup (that i use for tea/hot chocolate) fit in it perfect, as long as they aren't the "Super-sized" drinks.

also, Sobe bottles fit just fine as well.

i never use the one behind the shifter for anything besides my cell phone (and sometimes my digital camera, when i bring it with me)

M6 here. And yes the useless console holder gets the cell, lighter, and whatever other small random junk. The flip out one is the useful one.

i just put drinks in the flip out one. how can you put a cell phone in it?? there is only a thin wire underneath.... it always falls out!
