Yeah thats exactly what the previous owner had in mind I think. When the motor was in a 99 vert, with a stalled auto, it was running 11.5 @ around 115 I believe. Supposedly this combo is slightly different, and through an M6 now...in a lighter car. I know the car is fast...but I guess I cant get used to not having power until 4500+. Its just not as usuable on the street as Ide like. I can be in 1st, and after turning into my driveway, stomp it, and it will sort of take off but not spin, then all of a sudden act like a turbo car and spin/rev wildly.

But it sounds like my car acts like yours. If Im spinning 1st, and I hit second at the top of 1st and be really aggressive with the clutch release, it will blow the tires off. Otherwise, its just smooth power. Maybe I should leave it alone... haha.

I put down 400/367, have 4.10s and an MN12 tranny (huge difference, more like 4.56s now), and Nittos, and if the temp is below 50 I can't punch it from second without going sideways (tested MANY times). Then again, I can't drop it into second at anything over 50 mph because of the gearing. Burnouts help quite a bit, but I would imagine on street tires, third gear would be a major issue traction-wise up to and past 60mph. Time for some Mickey Thompsons and warmer weather.

get some 4:10's and you won't have any problems.

Haha..the thought has crossed my mind. I have 3.73s now...and I travel with the car a lot. Gets a 50 mile drive one way on the PA turnpike every other weekend. Goes to the outer banks once a year. And I like where it is now as far as gearing for accel. and cruising.

Ide have to drive in a 4.10 M6 car or drive one and see how it is before I re-geared.
