Default i have a question

ok well took the ta to the dealer ship for work and they messed up the spot where its the pinch weld like bent it where the two bolts are and then when they tryed to pull it back they cracked them so i complained. but the service writer said theres nothing they can do because that part service no purpose i thought that was part of the fenders? is part of the fender?so also what should i have them do? because the one side is totatly mangled

please tell me you are not talking about the bottom rear of the front fenders.
there are alot of F-bodies running around with the fenders hanging out because somebody did not know how to set the lift or put a jack stand or floor jack under the front fender tab. thats not something i would expect from a dealer.

you need to go back and bitch about it, show them how it says "not a lift point"!!! its damaged, even if you cant see without looking under the car. ask them if your car fell off their stand and the stand put a whole in the flloor would they fix the hole in the floor or just the visible damage.

that happened to me once, i went back and got a refund and some cash out of it. how ever you look at it they damaged your car!

WOW!!
so the service writer feels bolting on the fenders is over rated?
he needs to start praticing the phrase: do you want fries with that?
go back and talk to the service manager and politely explain to him that they are going to fix it. if he blows you off like the service writer did there are some really good phone numbers in the owners manual. tell him you are going to call GM and then do it.

Tell him to try and replace the fender and see if he still thinks they don't have a purpose. I bought my car used and when I got it home thats one of the first things I had to fix were some smuck did the same thing. Good luck. Id be pissed.

I had the same problem one time when i had my car worked on. All i did was take it back to them and they put it back on the lift and the took a 2x4 and a sledgehammer and knocked it straight.

what did u bring it to the dealership for?

anyone that lifts a car off the ground is responsible for making sure it is done in a safe and proper way, whether is the dealer or ray charles..............

fuseone, the reason why the service writer is not doing anything about it, is because you sound like a pushover. I ain't trying being an ******* or anything, but seriously, you sound like a pushover to me, by just reading your post. The thing you said about seeing the owner, well, you would have to go 1 step higher than that. To me it sounds like you need to talk to the District Manager. If that fails, go above him, talk to the Regional Manager and so on. Always remember the triangle of bosses, The Chain of Command.

I got a better idea,... tell them that your contacting the Better Business Beuro in the morning! ..That usually gets people to remove their thumb from their *** in a hurry!

I had a dealer's service manager try to get $200 out of me for testing a transmission that went bad while under warranty. I called the district service manager who tried to pass it off as a misunderstanding but 2 minutes after I finished talking to him the dealer service manager called me and said there wouldn't be any charge. Don't be afraid to go up the chain of command if the dealer won't take care of you.
