Only thing I see wrong in that video is the fact the car was even out on salt covered roads in the first place. I would never expose a nice F-body to road salt.

But once the salt was already on it, the best thing he could do was to wash it. Not seeing the problem with that? Other than the fact that t-tops will sometimes leak in pressure washes, but only a couple of drops usually.

and what do you mean he knows how to "make a badass car" ? it looks as if he just bought it, considering the caption is "straight from the dealership to storage"

The touchless washes won't harm the paint.

It's brushes that can/will leave scratches. From the looks of the vid, that was a touchless wash.....unless I'm mistaken.

its a touchfree carwash, hence the sign...

the guy is obviously a retard for exposing it to the salt, and driving it like he just stole it. no need to drive like an idiot, especially in the winter

your right about the bristles though, not allowed to take newly painted cars through the automated wash at my dealership because they will leave light surface scratching.

Most dealerships just use their in-house wash mitt to do all the scratching...

Yup. If you order a new car tell them not to touch the damn thing when it comes in. And some of those touchless car washes are neat. They have a undercarriage pressure wash.

So he's a retard for driving his car in the snow?

Now I love my Camaro just as much as the next guy, but to some people a Camaro isn't a garage queen that should never be driven. To some, it is their only car. Just because it happens to be your Garage Queen, doesn't mean everyone who drives their's is a retard.

And by the way, I took my 18,000 mile perfect condition 35th Anniv SS LE out today for a couple hours, and there's still snow on the ground. You're free to call me a retard, but I didn't buy the car to look at it.

I will be buying a CTS-V in the next couple years to serve as a daily driver. I realize that to some, a CTS-V is the holy grail of cars and should never be driven in anything but Florida weather. But I can afford it, and I want it as a DD. So it will see snow, ice, rain, hail, and an automated car wash once a week. Again, you're free to call me a retard, maybe someday I'll be cool enough to have a $10,00 Camaro as a garage queen.

It is?

I see the CTS-V as just a nice daily driver with *****, just like a '04+ GTO. Neither is garage queen material in my eyes. That's what F-bodies & Corvettes are for.

But to each his own.

ya it all depends where you go. some dealerships employee people that have no idea what they are doing. Now I understand what you are referring to. Some carwashes give **** poor quality, just have to watch out for that ****.
