I believe I'll switch to LS1 form LT1 My 94 z28 is racking up on miles and I have put so much money and effort into the car...it just feels like something is always wrong with it. I'm trying to sell my car and I believe I'm going to get a 98-02 either z28 or trans am. I also wanted a stick shift and I can get more power in an ls1 with bolt-ons anyways so I am done with the lt1 world....soon to be hello to ls1's!

I hope I wont....I was looking forward to make this decision....I think it is a wise one even though college is ahead and money is tight. I will need a more realiable vehicle

I've owned 5 LT1's and 6 LS1's. I really had fun with them and they will hold a special place in my heart because I loved the 93-97 Camaro front end especially 96-97 SS. Still my favorite body style 4th gen. My 2 current cars are LS1's

thanks guys.....and for 96mikez28 if that was sarcastic then I am a 17 year old who is in high school and works 2 jobs. Almost every penny I got went into paying for my car or doing stuff to it. In 2007 it got a whole new rear end(almost 1000 bucks) a new transmission(close to 1500 bucks) and new plugs,wires, front lca bushing, and an alignment(over 500 bucks) plus a couple other small things.

Yeah I can't believe how bad my gas mileage is....babying the car I get 15 mpg and I have exhaust and intake. Thats not going above about 65 mph.

I've read somewhere something to the effect that drilling a small weep hole in the bottom of the optispark to allow moisture to escape will stop it from going bad so often, anybody back this up?
