Gear ratio-3.23
Stock or bolt-ons (please specify which bolt-ons) full exhaust and stall
Driving style (easy, aggressive, wild)-easy
Your best MPG for a tank of gas (please specify city, highway, or mixed) 23 mpg city/highway combined

I'm not seeing how people are getting close to 30 mpg with an A4. It can be done with a M6 but I'd have to call bs on the rest.

To be more realistic you can expect low to mid 20's with city/highway combined miles.

I have 3.23, a4, qtp headers, off-road y, cutout, ls6 intake manifold, paper air filter, and the ftra. I get around 250 miles per 13 gallons I fill up right when the light goes on. Mixed driving and I drive pretty aggressive normally drive around 70-85 mph on the expressways.

Just got 313 miles from a full tank....3.23s, ORY, lid, K&N, LS6 intake, LS6 cam, tune.
Could have easily gotten another 7 miles for 320...thats 20 mpg correct? Not too shabby...
My drive is 25+ miles on the highway each way to and from work M-F. Total of 69 miles a day round trip.

I am assuming the 99 tank is 16 gallons, anyone confirm or deny?

Your answer means you're not even checking. Your guessing. He plainly asked in his original post for people not to do that! Damn, people are hard headed!
Singled you out, but a bunch of people did that.

You are going to have to take all of the numbers with a grain of salt. Here in the Midwest we get crappier gas, so you can expect atleast 2-3 mpg difference compared to somone who lives in say kansas, where they get better gas due to fewer emmissions regulations.

Best I got was 25 MPG all Highway with the car in my sig.

3.23s, A4 with one mod, a lid. I average between 18 and 19 MPG with mixed driving and a few hard runs. I never run my car down to E, that's a good way to cut a lot of life off of your fuel pump. The gas is what keeps it cool.

Although I checked my tires on a whim after I filled it,and they were all at 20psi! I filled them up to 35 front, and 30 rear. Maybe that will make a difference.

One thing I'm curious about is to where everyone is from. I imagine that people in the flatter states get better economy. I wonder if that's where all the big numbers are coming from?

Yup, airing up the tires helped. I went 303.1 miles, and put 12.8 gallons in it. Works out to 23.6mpg. My best tank ever, actually.

sounds like to me mods doesn't KILL it much. seems like most of it has to do with RPM's and acceleration (your local driving economy).

98 Formula with A4 and 2.73 gears. I get low 20's local driving, mostly 2 lane rural roads and 15 mi. to town with a little WOT mixed in(hard to resist). On interstate trips it will be high 20's (26-28) if I can keep it under 75MPH. The car is stock except lid and exhaust with 35,000 MI..

highway=24 city=18 (2.73 gears)

both staying the speed limit, although my car is running rich and needs tune, so it is capable of higher numbers
