ok so what exactly keeps the lt1 from having the same hp as the ls1? I've heard heads, so if that's the case get some new heads for the lt1 and your' fine. Again I'm just asking, I don't wanna start another argument lol.

The Heads are a major factor..and so is the Intake.

The LS1 just flows better..and it's setup for more of a higher RPM power capability.

well i can say this. GM is still milling off the LS blocks goin on 12 years since '97.(LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LS9) and they arent stopping anytime soon. i was just reading the article in the new GM high tech performance magazine on the new LS9 engine(620HP) which will power the 2009 ZR1 vette. face the facts the LT1 is starting to be classified kinda like the older small block chevy's now. GM only made the LT1 and LT4 and stopped. and they did it for a reason.
