Yeah, it's a good deal BUT you better know the history of the car. It isn't worth anything if the car was abused (raced constantly, bad maintenance history, etc..). If you can't get some documentation about the past owner or maintenance history, just let it pass. It isn't like the car has real low miles, like 20,000 or so where it wouldn't be as important. 56,000 miles can be a lot if not cared for. We'll hope the best for you. Good luck!

C'mon you don't buy a LS1 for gas mileage, even though they are able to get good MPGs. You'll end up modding it wither way. If you really like the car you'll pay the price for it. What's a good deal? Depends on you, this questions has been asked many times and you'll find some people say they probably paid more than they should have but would do it again.
I wish I could have found an SS for 12.5k with 50-60k miles out here. ****, the cheapest SS usually is 14-15k and most of the time that is with 65k+ miles. If you like it buy it, we can give you advice all day but in the end it's you making the choice. All I can add is don't settle for a car. I would rather pay a little more for something I really like than pay a little less for something I'm not totally happy with.

If it has the options you want then it sounds like a good price to me. I paid 16K for mine with 39,000 on the clock. Granted mine had everything I wanted right down to almost every SLP option but to some people that isn't a big deal and can save themselves some money.
