Default Is this a good deal?

Pacesetter LT's, ORY, o2 extensions, everything installed, plus a dyno and tune for $1,300. I don't have time to put it in myself, plus I know the mechanics do a great job.

Seems a little high for Pacesetters, but idk I have never really looked into what labor and everything would cost for it. I'm sure somebody has though, they should be able to help you out more.

The pacesetter's themselves are running average about $300. He's only charging me $215 for the dyno tune.

Yeah if its not something your comfortable doing yourself then I would have him do it. His price sounds actually pretty reasonable, assuming he does what he says and doesn't screw up your tune. He does know LS1's right?

I went to the shop the other day, and after seeing what I saw, "knowing ls1's" is a BIG understatement. I wasn't sure what the average dyno run costs, so that's the main reason I asked. I know they do great work from word of mouth though. Just haven't had anything done their yet. This is the only thing I'm doing to my car anytime soon that I can't do myself, so I'm just makin sure it's a good price.

I need to correct something I posted. The tune is $175, the dyno pull is $40. But he said he will tune it on the dyno.

Thats an awesome deal..A tune is normally 450ish the headers are 400ish the ory is 140ish and the little parts can be 100ish... And the install? thats an awesome deal!

As long as the headers are coated.

So the break down is

UNcoated pacesetter headers - $300
(+ hardware for install)
ORY - $100

Dyno pull & Tune - $215

= $615 ...........and the total cost is $1,300 ?

Ya gotta figure wrench time too. It generally runs about $130 for the Pacesetter ORY.

So, $645, round to $650, and I'm lookin at another $650 for labor. What's the average install time on headers/ory?

COATED pacesetters (LT+ORY) installed is usually around $900. A tune is around $400 as long as its good. I would say the price is about right for coated headers, not uncoated.

Maryland speed has jet hot coated pacesetters for like $400 and the ORY for $130 plus 02 extensions, and new plugs while your there. ~$600 with tax. Install should be about $300. and a QUALITY dyno-tune is about $400 here.

So around here from Straightline or Speed Inc. the price is right. But if you take $185 off of that dyno tune you should be payin around $1115 instead of $1300

Keep in mind my price estimate is with Jet Hot coated (best case) headers, uncoated ORY, with misc parts. Take $100-150 off for uncoated fast-rust headers.
