man, I know you don't want to hear this but... I would NOT trust a TCI converter! even for 50 bucks....shoot even if he paid me to take it. You'd have to get it rebuilt, and that will cost you money that you cna just put towards a GOOD converter. Too risky, if it goes it can take out your tranny. TCI converters are just 4cylinder converters with an adapter ring to fit V8's. If you want a good converter, go with a Precision Vigilante or a Yank and do not look back. If you want to do it, do it right don't risk your tranny!!

I wouldn't risk it. But... Since you want a new tranny, go for it. Then get a good converter for your new tranny! lol

You would have to call TCI and ask what their policy is.

"Yeah hi, I know your stalls are garbage, but how much would it cost to fix one that already committed suicide? What's that? I should take a, what? A sledge hammer to my transmission? Because why? Oh, I would be doing myself a favor? Thanks!

*Click*"

EDIT: I've seen 2 TCIs take out three transmissions (one was the exact situation you are describing)
