Default Going to the track tomorrow

So i am going to the track tomorrow for the first time with my car. I am pumped!
I weigh 140 pounds. The entire aftermarket stereo will be pulled tonight. I will be racing on 1/8 to 1/4 of a tank of gas. Mods are in the sig and i will be on 255/50/16 BFgoodrich Drag T/A tires.

Please any guesses on my times in the 1/4mi I am hoping i will be as high as 12.99.

Thanks for ANY input.

With a stall you should be mid 12's without one you can knock off about 4-5 tenths fron the time I just gave you. Good luck.

I think you'll be able to hit 12's man. Depending on the DA... However, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't as well.

I ran a 12.92@108 when I was just headers/TSP duals at Route 66. Temp was around 70.

The car definitely has the beans to hit 12's. Are you running 2.73s in between those DRs?

Ah, gotcha

I know a friend who slowed down because he couldn't do anything but bog on DRs with 2.73s. Maybe yours will have enough kick to make use of em. If it bogs, swap 'em around!

If your 60' is over 2, you'll be low 13's. If you can launch it and get a good 60', should hit 12's.

Since you lack experience, my guess is going to be 13.3 @ 108 ; )

Winner!
Question, what experience do i need with my 13 second car?

First Run (BAR: 29.44, 81.5*F, Hum: 59%)
60'........2.071
330'......5.678
1/8.......8.603 @ 84.81
1000'....11.126
1/4.......13.272 @ 105.17

20 minute break

Second Run (BAR: 29.46, 77.9*F, Hum: 63%)
60'.......2.106
330'.....5.742
1/8......8.673 @ 84.95
1000'...11.187
1/4......13.324 @ 105.63

43 minute break

I used the factory Stall on this pass, i could get my RPMs up around 2k, but still a shitty time!
Third and Final Run (BAR:29.51, 73.4*F, Hum: 76%)
60'.........2.143
330'.......5.802
1/8........8.744 @ 84.67
1000'.....11.272
1/4.......13.421 @ 104.83

The times basically sucked, i had my tire pressure @ 17 pounds hot. And i was getting slower each pass...

The tires hooked EVERY time, and i did make sure my front tires didnt go on the water.

Few things i found neat: My 60' was ONE hundredth than a WRX STI with the APS turbo kit, and a **** load of other mods. (he ran a constant 12.0XX)
Also, my reaction time never was higher than .176

I want that 12.99 really badly!

So how do i remove 3 tenths? LS6 manifold? More aggressive of a tune? Nitrous is out of the question, i just want something simple. I heads fighting for tenths when your in the 12 to 13 sec 1/4 mile is not hard, but gets difficult when you get in to the 10s.
Some told that if i remove the air filter, and had 100 in my tank i might make it.

On all my runs, there was nothing but me in it, i had the gas @ 1/4 of a tank (3/4 empty)

tune, less weight, better track conditions and less gas. dont take the filter out, you wont gain enough to notice (wont show up on your times) if the weather was what you stated (high humidity) then you should have a 12 second car on a better day. whats your DA?

oh and congrats on a good run, drag racing is addicting, fighting for every .1 gets to be like a friggen drug.

The first time I ever took my Z28 to the track, I ran my best time and haven't done it again since, even after a few add ons. If you could get 1.9s, you'd be cookin' with grease.

I figured you'd trap a tad higher than that. Curse of the highway gears?

Whats DA again?
What are some "prime" better track conditions?

In general, is there a reason why my times got worse?
I am guessing that they got worse because i didnt really let the car cool down and somthing to do with the weather.
