Default Will the anti-theft keep car from starting?

My car wouldnt start this morning, but i noticed the "security" light was on in the dash so i got out, locked the doors, unlocked the doors and got back in and it started. I think it happened because i opened the hatch with the key before i unlocked the doors

Yeah. Also, if you have the windows down and you open in from the inside (after locking) the alarm will go off and not let the car start.

Figured that was an interesting tidbit to add (that I learned the hard way).

hmmmmm.

My mustang did this same exact thing back in HS one time. For the life of my I could not figure out why my car didn't want me to drive it.

Needless to say when my dad came to pick me up he looked the car over and was like, "I don't see anything wrong." He took the key to turn the car to the on position to see if the battery was dead. Everything was normal and when he turned it all the way it started and he gave me the biggest WTF look ever. HAHA

I felt so retarded lol.
