It makes me proud to own my ls1!!
While on a recent vacation to Ocean City, Maryland I took notice to the number of v8's in general, but mostly the the SHOCKING amount of mustangs.
So for amusement while driving( i did not a have my car), i recorded the mustang sitings, these are the ones that stuck out the most:
2 05+ Saleens, one red, one white both with OLDER gentlemen driving them
1 03 blue cobra younger guy, pulley and tune, nice car cool guy
1 99-04 v6 white with GT badging, body kit, painted black Huge wing
1 05+ blue GT, CAI, lowered, HUGE 19" rims with WIDE tires
1 99-04 silver with black stripes GT, cat-back, Claimed it made 380 rwhp, and would KILL(yes he said KILL) my trans am
1 98 cobra in the color changing paint(blue-purple/green), built block spraying 150 shot, cool guy and informed me on some nice local spots for next year
In addition to that i counted, I am not kidding when i say this:
(05+) 23 total mix of gt and v6
(99-04) 17 gt's, 14 sixxer's
(98- below) 29, mix of gt's, v6, and some fox bodies
And grand total of 76 mustangs.
This was over the course of a 4 day, 3 night vacation.
I saw 5 f-bodies, and 3 corvettes in that time.
It makes me Proud to own something so nice and so rare!!!!!!!!!!!!
(p.s. I am sorry if i make reference to your vehicle, this is based on my opinion, also saw a WS.6 with the headlight conversion if you on here, nice ride)

And that is why the Mustang won the pony car wars. Regardless of whether or not you like them, you have to give credit where credit is due, Ford sells the **** out of those cars, and it's good to know that an American icon can still be sold in such large numbers in this day and age. I still like that only 2000 CETA's are in the U.S. though :B

Haha I see mustangs on every corner, and of every year. Southern California is lerking with them. I just had some person in a newer style GT, couldnt see them with their jet black tints tried racing me today. But instead he was just cutting off other vehicles, and trying to race every green light.

You know why you saw so many Mustangs? Because car clubs and groups schedule time in Ocean City together. Depending on when you go, you will see LOTS of a certain type of car. For example, last time I was there I saw about a MILLION VW's. So of course I introduced them to the LS1 and went 13-0 against them.

rustangs everywhere around here, very few FBody people though. I havent been able to find a groupe of fbody guys that wasnt obsessed with street racing yet. But the mustangs are everywhere. I gotta wonder what exactly made the mustang sell soooooooo much better over the years than fbod's?

well the fox bodies and sn 95's have been cheap in price for along time, enabling younger crowds to afford them. the 4th gens are just recently getting cheap enough for teenagers to buy. other than that...who knows. i still laugh that a 93 camaro can beat a 2008 mustang gt. Lololololol what the ****
