Default car went SLOW! WTF?

so i took a trip to the track sunday aug. 17th and took the ws6 down for some passes and was EXTREMELY disappointed, first run i cut a 2.25 60ft on DRAG RADIALS! that turned into a 14.00 at 102mph...and it seemed to hook fine...
my best pass of the day was a 13.7 @102 with a 2.13 60ft..
mods are lid, catback, and bfg DR's...

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR? i took the air pump out and left the hoses and things coming off the manifolds also, which is causing an SES light i would assume, but what do you guys think? i read another thread on here that the guy was having similar problems that he thinks are clogged cats, but i have no idea....i am utterly disgusted by all this beings is how i recently sold my gtp for this car and the gtp went faster! let me know what you think...thanks!

You need to take into account your DA (hypothetical elevation) before you get upset. a 13.7 where you are could be a 13.1 at seal level, it just depends. There is also more time left in your 60ft if you can get it under 2.0

Wait, are you saying you didn't plug the AIR holes? That time isn't horrible, but you need to get that 60' down and your times will improve.

13.7 does suck, but its rather hot out... I went 13.2@108 in the winter with lid and catback on 18" street tires... need to get better weather and lower 60'

Launch harder. It seems to be hooking up. That either means you are or you're not. If you are spinning, you can only get worse. If you're not spinning, then you can only get faster.

Not knowing the temp/humidity, it's hard to tell just how bad that 102mph trap speed is, but in decent weather, an auto LS1 car with a lid/catback should have no problem running 105-106mph, even with 2.73s.

If you didn't plug the AIR pipe holes, then you have a massive exhaust leak which is destroying your O2 readings, thus messing up your A/F ratio. That could easily explain why the car is down on power.

Just as a point of reference, my A4 '00 WS6 went 106+ mph with just a flowmaster muffler and an air lid, in decent (not great) weather.

Ok, because I'm bored...

Say you live in Cedar Falls, Iowa (your location says central iowa) and went to Cedar Falls Raceway.

On August 17th the temperature was recorded as 84 degrees. Your elevation is 890 feet. The dew point was 58 degrees, and the barometer was 30.07. Using this link, your calculated DA was 2,731 feet. OUCH!

Once fall rolls around and it cools off, that's when cars start movin' out...

your 60 foot should be at least a 2.0 with decent DRs....u should be pullin 1.9s to 1.8s with BFGs! 13.7 isnt completely horrible but considering the heat, ur exhaust situation and ur 60', id say be happy with what ya got

+1 there's room for improvement with bfg dr's and your 60's
with sub 2.0's you should be mid to low-ish 13's

so i definitely should get the air holes plugged asap? it still has the tubes just no pump...

and it didnt seem to bog or anything, it felt like i was moving pretty good, but the times are telling me otherwise...and i only got the 13.7 once it was consistent on 14.00's which was making me ready to sell the thing...

I would get those AIR holes plugged up, also, and then work on the 60'. You can definitely drop your 60' with those DRs and hopefully the plugs will help your car run correctly and improve your trap.

yeah your 60' ft should be better. i get 2.1 60' ft in my bone stock edge gt 5spd. and there is still room for improvement.

my buddies lightly modded bolt on edge gt 5spd (which still isn't quite good for low 13's..should be good for mid 13's.) pulled 1.9 60' ft with drag radials and it was his first time at the track.
