For a true muscle car try MOPAR......the sound at idle of a 426 HEMI has NO equal.....

Well it's not the only way but glad you like yours! My LT1 sounded decent stock but liked to pop on decel A LOT. Bought my LS1 with a Flowmaster with 3 inch tips installed already and it did have a very nice sound to it but didn't flow worth a crap as we all know. Installed a Magnaflow and it's cammed now, cammed LS1 with Magnaflow is definitely nice sounding at idle and downright mean sounding when you open it up!

i remember last summer at englishtown a guy brought his challenger on a trailer and all you could hear was that hypnotizing hemi sound. plus the damn thing had parachutes and you could see the 9" dead center of the ***. you have to be there to hear that hemi sound.

They may have the same firing order, but the extra cam, or cams in some cases, drastically change the sound.

Strictly between LS1's and LT1's - LT1's win it on all but WOT... for some reason at WOT they sound like a fuqed up instrument of some sorts...

that thing does sound pretty nasty, probably wouldnt kill them to bump the idle up a little though.

still kinda miss my old cammed lt1. sounded great through the hooker long tubes and elec cutout. cutout was open in this clip. i had a cheap flowmaster muffler on it that sounded ok, but nowhere near as good as dumping it out the y pipe

I think the LT1 has a slightly better sound, but a well setup LS1 can sound just as good.

My LT1 sounded sweet with the Hotcam.
Personally I love the sound of 402 Stroker with the big Cam in it..expecially with the Cut Out open, it sounds like a Big Block..

there was a local car show that had a pipe rap competition and i was told mine sounded better and louder than a Buick GN with a big block conversion that was there competing as well. He was in front of me and i thought it sounded nice but i guess with a decibel reader i was louder

Your right, an LT1 is only a CAI, cat-back, and UDP away from being an LS1 lol

Sorry dude. Unless by hold your own you mean hangout 4 cars back. Having had an LT1, LS1, and now an LS2, LSx flaws are minimal compared to the LT1. My LT1 had more mood swings than a lady in menopause.
