Anyone try a little drifting with their car? (Off the public streets of course)

Yup, we have done it before, mainly practice events. The Mrs. will be doing it this weekend at WSIR.

Lol, yep looks pretty gay to me... Kidding man, for some reason its just badass when you see a camaro doing it as opposed to an eclipse trying

Yeah, you see those fwd or awd Eclipses used all the time in drifting.

aren't our cars at a disadvantage in drifting cuz our wheels don't turn sharp enough?

you shouldnt need to turn the wheels that far unless you dont have any power.

Yea you are talking about steering angle, you are correct. we really do not have enough to be able to compete with most cars. The better the driver is the more angle you can get. Most of us will never get it at full lock and hold a drift. The vid was done in 2nd and 3rd gear and this is the 1st time in the car.

Pro drift cars are modified for more steering angle yes.

I know our cars can't uturn worth a damn.... at least not legally.
