Should I buy a C6 or wait for the 2010 Camaro...

Stay away from the 05's. With the current economy conditions, it shouldn't be hard to get a new 08 Vette for under $40k (I've seen them). Also, since the Vette is a dream car people look to buy when they get closer to retirement, I think for a lot them a Vette is the last thing on their mind with the market dropping like a rock. Skip the Camaro and go for a Vette, much better car. I'm thinking another six months or so will be a great time for me to pick up a Vette too. I think the economy will get even worse. It's a great buying time for a house and cars if you've got money. Just look at all the discounts they've got on 09 vehicles that just came out.

Go to the vehicles for sale page, LSX Powered section. There are all kinds of C6's for sale from $31k and up.
Or, you can buy my SS and have a strong project car sit in your garage until you get it running .

whats wrong with an 05. they been having issues? i looked around at c6's for a while before i decided to save 10k and get a c5. none the less you could still pick up an 06 for a pretty good price, with money left over for mods. or better yet, find an 06 z06 for like 50,000.

Hmmm, just test drive both and see which you like. I was convinced I wanted a c5 corvette, I sat in one and didn't like it at all, the seat position and how low it was, seems like a fast car, but when I sat in my car I have now "2000 WS.6" It was much nicer.

If you thought a WS6 is a much nicer car then a corvette then you have zero taste.

Doesn't really matter because I don't know why anyone would buy an automatic sports car. Its like buying a video game that plays itself. The whole point of a sports car is to have total control, something a conventional auto is not going to give...

I'm not saying a WS.6 is nicer than a Corvette, I guess what I'm saying is when I sat in the WS.6 I felt more comfortable, the way everything is layed out in the cabin ect. In the C5 the inside of the cabin and where the shifter was and a lot of other things made me feel out of place in the car. It just depends on how you feel, like I said, test drive them both and choose what you like, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
