i just put in NGK TR-5 spark plugs. i'm now reading they are shit. what to do?

i just put in NGK TR-5 spark plugs. i'm now reading they are ****. what to do?
i spent hours!! only to come online later and find out tr-5's are not the way to go. what should i do?

LOL I ran TR-5's in my NA setup without a problem. Went to a 6 when I sent with boost. I dont know who is telling you that but they ran fine in my car and the other 100 cars Ive put them in.

actually ive only done 4 on the drivers side so far.
should i just get tr-55's and put em on my remaining 4?
how much do TR-55's go for?

so you spent HOURS installing JUST the driver side?
tow your car to nearest shop and let them do the work. you are not going to notice any power gain from ANY plugs. ALL plugs deliver the same amount of energy, and the stock ignition system is more than sufficient for msot power applications. get tr55s and be done with it.

F it. im just gonna finish up with TR-5's for the remaining 4 on the passenger side.

yes i spent hours. this is my first. plus im working with tools i can at my aunts.
i didnt unplug ****. just the plugs and wires. no ac, blah stuff.
i feel like next time i do the the driver side it should take me 15 mins tops if im not too herbally infusing myself this time around.

tr55s are a different plug. they would be a better choice for a mostly stock ls1. i run tr6s because of my cam.
the passenger side is a nightmare compared to the driver side, just so you know.
you wont notice any power gain your engine will just run better. mpg gain will be negligible. +-1-2 mpg
btw: drugs and cars......dont mix, telling us on the internet does not make you look cool.

It really makes it easier to change plugs if you'll remove the coil packs on the valve cover on the passenger side. That last cylinder #8 plug is a bitch to get out because of the leverage problems in getting your hand in there to where you can get good grip to loosen the plug out. These cars are front mounted mid engined cars.
In my case I used Bosch Platinum +4's and never had a problem. Like most have said, you really won't notice a big difference unless something else is really out of whack. I did notice better throttle response in going to these particular Bosch pieces from the AC plugs and the NGK.

TR-55's are what you should use.
I know some peoples engines run ok with TR-5 and TR-6 plugs. When my engine was bone stock it ran like **** with TR-6 plugs that some ******* at Pep Boys told me to use 9 years ago when I was still stock "and didn't know what I do today about our engines".
TR-55's ONLY in a stock LSx.
And once you figure out the correct tools to use for changing plugs, Passenger side (the harder side) will take you 20-25 minutes total, the drivers side will take about 15 minutes total.

i have a 1998 which makes it harder to follow the instructions/picture instructions on www.INSTALLUNIVERSITY.com for the passenger side coil pack rail bolts
since you have a 1998 as well can you give me tips on that? im really starting to beat myself up
im starting to give up and just leave the passenger side alone. i already took the two 10mm bolts from the air pipe manifold on the passenger side.
this really sucks

btw those ngk tr-5's on my driver side were 40mm out of the box
but i gapped hem at 60 with the tool because thats what it says on our engine bay
i then proceeded to talk to some guys at the local shop and they said i should of left it at 40
but they said if all is running fine i should be fine. all seems fine. what do you think?
