Default NGK TR55 for stock 02 Formula

I am going to change the plugs in my Formula this weekend and was wondering if TR55's are ok? Some of my machanics at work are recommending I stay with Iridium plugs but I have always heard good things from TR55's.

I pulled a couple the other day and they aren't that bad. However, I do have a small miss at idle so I will probably change the plugs and wires. Car has DENSO plugs in it...I thought they would be factory AC delcos (57k miles).

What do you all run? I also noticed the gap in the Denso plugs were only .055 not .006.

Don't use anything but NGK TR55's or TR5's (they're identical) gapped at .055. You'll be good.

Iridiums won't do any better than TR55's.

If its actually stock I would go to the Pontiac dealer and get stock Delco plugs. NGKs are great through, I'm runnin them in both my F bodies. Can't beat 'em for the price. Actually, my Eclipse OEM plug is NGK lol.

Just pulled Denso's out of my 2001 and I've never changed them ..had it since it has 43K on it and I don't think the original owner had them changed. I thought I heard somewhere they were factory plugs?

Mine came with Denso PTJ16R15 plugs. No problems with the TR55's in the car either.

If you drive alot then Iridium so you don't have to change them nearly as often. I have AC Delco iridium's and had 55's and both a good plugs.

let me put it this way, if you

shoot a colt AR, then stick with the AC delco plugs

shoot an Olympic Arms or Atlantic AR, then go with autolite or champion plugs

shoot a Rock River then go with plain NGK TR55's

shoot a bushmaster then get NGK iridiums TR55IX

shoot a wilson then get denso iridiums.

if you get pulstar plugs, shoot your car and yourself

shoot a Rock River then go with plain NGK TR55's...How did Bushmaster get Iridiums lol? Bushmasters are no better (or worse) than RRA.

That one fits me lol. I have 2 RRA's and one S&W which is in 5.45x39.

What gap should I run? I've seen people say .050 and .055
