Car wont start?
Car wont start? Starter checked out good, it is getting power to it, and all the fuses are ok. Its not a security thing and we also tried to start it in neutral. The wiring to it is a little beat up but it was getting power, and the car has been starting normally everyday, and yesterday I went to start it, it has power to everything ie. windows, radio, fuel pump, everything, but when i turn the key the starter doesnt click, nothing. oh and the battery is charged it showed about 12 on the gauge so idk whats wrong, anyone with any ideas on what it could be?
bad battery? mine just went bad and i had power to everything electrical but when i turned the key the electronics flashed the the motor didnt turn over. drop a new battery in or borrow one and see if it fixes it.
How old is the battery? Voltage won't tell you if the battery has enough amperage to turn the car over. Try jump starting it and you'll know. (Auto parts stores can also check the power left in the battery, as well.)
hey guys thanks for the help, the car is running fine again, i went down to autozone they said my battery is fine so i replaced the battery bolts and put a couple layers of electrical tape on the wires running to the starter (the casings was pretty beat up) so we re-connected the battery and it started right up
