Default frozen blinker issue..

if i push the blinker lever down(to signal a left turn) the arrow comes on and stays on on the dash, no blinking, the left tailight also comes on with no blinking,

the right signal works fine

the hazards also work fine

what do i do?, this is brand new problem, just started doing it tonight

You have a left bulb out somewhere.

Mine does it sometimes, usually you just have to push the lever a bit further. Assuming of course you're only pushing it down a little just for lane change and not locking it down.

Or it could be a bulb.

I had the exact same problem. Figure out which bulb is acting up... it either needs to be replaced, or there is some problem with the contacts... (that was my problem- bulb was fine). Buy some elec. contact cleaner and spray it in the connector (with power off)- let it dry and insert bulb. spray the contact points on the bulb while you are at it.

also could be your flasher relay, sometimes only one side dies......I believe they are still under the dash on the drivers side....unless they moved from the 3rd gens...lol or it could be the blinker switch itself could have broken, and you would have to replace your blinker lever....easy fix either way.

Nope not possible. Both left and right sides use the same flasher.

Yes but I have had just one side not work and when I replaced the relay both worked again.. Then I broke the lever and had to replace the lever itself.....3 times actually....The relay has a double element doesn't it?? like some lights?? Look at the bottom of the lights that do both, some have 2 bumps some have one bump.... I know the relay for the "4 way" flasher is different as well. Try putting 4 way lights on, that's the best way to find a "blinker bulb out" in my experience...

This was on a 3rd gen, not a 4th gen I'm still assuming they are the same....

If it isnt the bulb the socket needs to be cleaned out. I had green muck inside of mine. Cleaned it out with some brake cleaner (bite me, it worked) and took a toothpick/ toothbrush and cleaned it out, let it dry and viola..

Which would you suspect might be the issue with the blinker fluid, level or condition?

Possibly a little of both, might as well just change it out completely...
