Running hot sounds like? Fans coming on? T-stat opens? Radiator cap good? Start with simple stuff......

I think you should start by looking at what that gauge reads on the dash....

Maybe you have too much water in your coolant? I've heard of that before..

Start with a new radiator cap, it's cheap.

The gauge inside might not read hot but still running hot i have had 3 3rd gens do this (every one i owned) and it was diff each time. T stat and r cap dont cost much so good to start, but before you do that though get it up to temp make sure your fan is on. (i had a fan motor and relay bad in one car ) If your fan comes on wile you have it warm purge the system (just keep puting water and or antifreeze in till you get the air out)cheak around the water pump for leaks,(had a pin hole leak on one of them pump still worked but could not keep water in the system when it leaked out the gauge was useless) and look to see if you still have the air damn still under the car.Yes it can and will make your car run hot if you dont have it. (damn none standerd curbs and EX ol ladies driving never agine i swear) If the fan is working, you still have the air damn,(a sticky tstat or bad water pump will make it hard to purge if at all) and you purged the air out, and no luck get the r cap and or t stat and see what that does

ps a sticky t stat in a 3rd gen want let water get to the temp sensor
pss the EX ol lady snatched it off when it was still cold and didnt tell me so i didnt find out till it got a lil warm
damn B!$H
hope that helps i havent had any problems in my 02 but its all the same concept

i have this same "problem" on my 02 t/a. I was told either an air bubble or too much coolant. It makes sense because it sounds like its bubbling from the overflow as if there is too much in there. My temp is good always hovering right below the middle of the gauge.

If you areetting bubbling/gurgling sounds from the overflow tank AFTER shutdown, you most likely need a new cap. After engine shutdown the pressure in the coolant system rises for a little while before it starts to drop.....if the cap is bad it'll **** the steam an coolan out into the reservoir, causing bubbling/gugling sonds.
