Dual "Auto-Down" Windows, Possible?
I did a search and didn't come up with anything...
Has anyone installed a "driver side, auto-down" window switch in place of the passenger windows switch, in the driver side door panel? Basically, is there a way to get both windows to go down with one click like the driver side window does, from the drivers side?
I've heard it works, but I'd like confirmation before I tear into it. Thanks!
This is in regards to a 2000 Trans Am

For what its worth, years ago before 6le and autotrix started making these kits - I simply bought an extra express down module from GM. Then wired it into the passangers side harness.
This gives me the "GM style" one-touch auto down on the pass windows that operates in the same way as the drivers side.

Here's the do-it-yourself solution. http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/expresswindow.htm

I have the autotrix one and it works well. It comes with their kit to run the passenger window straight off the battery too. I like it because it's faster than the GM one. The only problem is that it makes it so the passenger window only does express down and not the regular motion so you have to click it up if you want to stop the window part way. All in all nice kit and it only took about 2 hrs to do the install.

I put twindow-1 modules in each door, and have the express feature in both directions up and down on both doors. The modules also handle all the current so the passenger side doesn't need a relay fix, just a connection directly to the battery on the passenger side. They also include safety stop and hookups for alarm to raise and lower the windows. I think these modules are discontinued, but I got some from microalarm.com in california thru my friends stereo shop.

Some of the older Saturns (I believe it was Saturn, it's been awhile) had the little module built into the switch itself. Very compact and simple install. I put them into my Camaro. I don't see why it wouldn't work with a 4th gen. Only catch is that the switches look different.

In the Camaro, the 'express down', all the way to the end, is fine.
But do that in a Trans Am, with the OE door panels, & watch'em flex during the last two inches of travel, where the crack always starts.
If ya add the express down feature on the Trans Am/Firebird application, you should add the 'door-panel fix' while your at it.
