Default Annoying belt squeel when cold

Well heres the deal. Right now that temperatures are dropping I got back my annoying belt squeel. I was not able to hear or notice anything at warm temperatures, anything above 70ish. Anytime it is cold the car squeels seems like the colder the louder it gets. It doesn't matter if its from it being overnight parked or after its fully warmed up its squeels either way. I've replaced the belt, idler pulley and belt tensioner pulley. I also have an slp underdrive pulley. My ps pump pulley was cracked so I also replaced it with one from GM. I'm running out of ideas on what it could be. My alternator isn't that old either and it has a overdrive pulley on it, like I said the car was fine with warm temperatures but it does not seem to like cooler temperatures. At times after I've been driving the car and I park it i seem to hear a faint squeek squeek squeek as if something was still turning but I am not able to pinpoint to what it could be. The car doesn't overheat or anything so I don't seem to think it could be the water pump internals going bad. Any ideas on this?

Mine has begun to do the same thing. I almost wonder if maybe the water pump is starting to leak, or the tensioner is not working as well as it should?

I am honestly thinking the same thing because now after a drive when I park I see a puddle under the car. I tasted it and yup its antifreeze I just have to find where exactly the leak is coming from... its driving me crazy.

Could it be the A/C pullies? Squealing when cold is ususlly a pulley.

And no need to taste antifreeze. Just a sniff will identify the stuff.

Exactly what I was thinking. Mine does the same thing, sprayed the belt with silicone spray and it goes away. Sucks too, the damn belt is less than 6 months old.

Well I know its not the ac pullies ran the car without an ac belt and squeel was there still. I tracked down my leak to the back of the motor.it was a leaky heater hose thats now fixed. But squeel is still there. Like I said before replaced all the pullies bt no go. So kinda out of ideas...

mine started a faint squeak when i put a UD pulley and a new belt on....kinda sucks, but it goes away after things warm up....for mine the belt dressing seems to make it worse....i wonder if a slightly different size belt would help ????

Well same here the dressing makes it worse. I've had that noise even before the ud pulley came Into the picture. My car only squeels loud when the outside temps are below 70ish. It doesn't matter if I drive it for 30 min car still makes loud squeel.

Hi,
i would go to the local parts store and do a pressure test on your cooling system. Just pump the pressure to required limit and it will leak..... If you have water pump or hose issues. Use a stethoscope or piece of rubber hose and listen...you should be able to isolate the noise......most likely to be a bearing if belt is not worn out.........check idler tension also..............merry christmas..........

My Firehawk does the exact same thing on a cold start. It all started after I installed my Procharger. I changed idler pully, belt tensioner, both belts, and still squeal. It makes my hawk sound like a POS. There are no visible leaks under the car so i have no idea what it may be. When I changed my belt, the squealing stoped for about a week, then it started up again. I have no idea what it is
