Default Severe engine overheating problem!!!!

I have 2002 Camaro Z28, I'm having some really bad overheating issues with it, just put new coolant in and burped the system. I am thinking the T Stat is bad, what is a good way to check this, also I have gargling noises in the cooling system when I turn it off. Air? Lower hose is cold after driving and upper is super hot.

Yeah I drained the entire system, topped off the radiator and the reservoir, I have no leaks. But when I try and burp the system, it will not reach 210, and the coolant just keeps flowing over. Thermostat?

Can I take the thermostat out and run the car, also is it smart to take the crossover tube to the throttle body off and run the car?

T-stats usually fail in the open position, but it is possible to fail closed. You can pull the t-stat out and run the car for a couple minutes to see if your water pump is working, but I wouldn't run my vehicle without a t-stat for long. Have you checked the water pump yet?
