Changing oil pressure sending unit in 4th Gen without removing the intake
Hey guys. I had to change my Oil Pressure Sending Unit yesterday and did it WITHOUT removing the intake many in my 6.0 swapped Trans Am. I made a short vid since I couldnt really find anything helpful other than (its maybe possible). Hope this helps someone out!.

Excellent thread and video. A++
I wish I had this information before I tore up my arms doing this the other year: https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...ding-unit.html
I do have ogre hands and mongoid arms... and they have permanent scars (from the cowl screws) to prove that I switched out this part.
The patented LSX14-left-handed-connector-clip-reach-around move would have saved me.

I'm not jacked or anything. Just average build I guess you could say. It's all about the maneuvering haha. The hardest part was the clip honestly. And then lining the new sending unit up blind. You can feel the spot though if you really stretch to get down to the block with your finger. You have to ghost it either way but its not that bad TBH.

so u replaced the sending unit because ur oil low light came on even though it was full? i have a 2000 camaro SS that just had the oil changed and the low oil light came on. other than the light coming on does this have to be replaced, will it hurt just to disconnect? a repair shop wants to remove intake and charge me for all that labor. thx
