Incomplete circuit causes the no blinking (both bulbs have to be operational or it won't blink as the load will be too low to trigger the thermal flasher)

Try replacing the front bulb first..if that doesn't work, check the socket and replace if necessary, finally if that doesnt work, check the DRL module behind the radio.

What does this mean? If your hazards work but turn signals do not, then that's a flasher problem, but if there is another mode where the lamp doesn't work, then you may have other problems.

Are you talking about "on" when you turn the headlights on? Do your DRL's work?

If the turn signal flasher was bad then both turn signals would stop working not just one as the flasher itself does not control both sides (driver and passenger) separately, going through the flasher itself they're all apart of the same circuit making it impossible for the flasher to single the two sides out. If HAZARDS work on all four sides - and the turn signals do not.. POSSIBLY the DRL module, check connections on the DRL module, wiggle them while the turn signal is on, see if it comes up

That's not correct. The turn signal flasher does operate both sides of the car, but the wiring is of different lengths and of different resistances. As the thermal flasher gets old and gets to the "edge" of its operation, it will express itself differently on each side. One side may have enough resistance to build up enough heat in the flasher to cause it to flash and the other side may not.

BTW - We've had a number of posts on this issue in the Electronics section. As people change bulbs, etc. over the years, that resistance bogey moves around. Sometimes the left side hangs up on people and sometimes its the right.

Usually, a bad DRL module will express the same problem for the hazards and turn signals as both go through a common relay in the DRL module.

its most likely the socket, you can pick up a replacement at Autozone for under 10 bucks and swap it out, no need to cut wires.

No, it's not. If it were the socket, the hazards wouldn't work, either.

Are you sure this turn signal bulb is working with your hazards on?! What you are describing sounds like a bad bulb, and when I have had a bad bulb in the turn signal socket it definitely never lit up when I put the hazards on!

Try inspecting the bulb to see if the two metal wires are broken, if not, maybe your light bulb is not making sufficient contact with the socket, which has happened to me. Usually just touching the bulb gets it to light back up, which is a problem when your hitting bumps in the road and it stops working!

However, what your describing may possibly be the turn signal switch in the steering column. When it went bad, my factory switch, I do remember my turn signals not functioning while the hazards did. So, maybe you are describing a bad turn signal switch.
