Are you sure you unplugged the right sensor? that sensor went bad on both my car and my friends 97 ws6, unplugged it and it went away, its on the driverside of the radiator facing the motor, i had to use a flat head to pry his off because his engine bay is real tight.

If you unplug the sensor while the motor is running the light will stay on. First unplug the sensor then turn on the engine the light should remain off. If its off, then proceed to purchase part#10096163. Can you tell I replaced mine yesterday
? Cost me $55 from a dealer.
P.S...Its on the passenger side of the radiator if your looking at the motor. Not the drivers side.
