No problem. Very simple process. First, you will need 4 qts of Dexron III ATF. Any brand will really do fine.(No synthetic though.) I used Penzoil which was like 6 dollars for 4 qts. You will also need a cyphon of some sort.

Fluid Change:
1) Locate the drain plug which is towards the back of the tranny. You will need a 3/8 extension to unplug this.
2)Let the fluid drain. Should take about 10-15 min.
3) Tighten up drain plug.
4)Locate fill plug on side of tranny(Drivers side). Use the same 3/8 extension to loosen and start pumping the fluid in using the cyphon.
5) The tranny will be full when the fluid starts to come out.
6)Tighten up plug and you are good to go!
HTH. Any other questions lmk

Unless you race auto X or something, you probably dont need a cooler on your M6, my other advice is AVOID SYNTHETICS as they are NOT syncro friendly in your T-56 tranny. Other than that, I would recomment a shifter with shift-stops as i dont belive the T56 has internal stops and it is possible to bend a fork during agressive shifts depending on how agressive you are with it. The T56 is a pretty durable beast though, like said, change fluid, stay away from synthetics, and get a shifter with shifts stops (someone correct me if the T56 has them internally, im unaware of it.)

i would take the fill plug off first, because what happen if you drain all the fluid and can't get fill plug off!!!

Actually, the T56 requires no maintanence, as stated in your manual. Unless you have a specific reason for changing the fluid, it is not needed.

Also the T-56 does have internal stops.
